Hippity, hoppity and a little bit of floppity! Have you ever considered adding a little spring into your household? Rabbits make wonderful pets and can normally be easily litterbox trained. A rabbit will typically live 9-12 years, providing they are given a proper diet, limitless hay, a clean and spacious habitat, and daily mental and physical stimulation. Rabbits are great pets for older children with parental guidance and supervision. Hop on down to WCHS and meet a beautiful bunny today.

Hi, my name is Cadbury!
Location: Jefferson, WI
adopt a rabbit in Wisconsin Cadbury
Hotot • Adult • Female • Small
Spayed/Neutered • Primary Color(s): White • Coat Length: Short
I'm a beautiful bunny in search of a loving indoor home. I wasn't handled much in my former home and haven't learned to enjoy being held. I'm curious and playful and like to be petted on my own terms. I was a stray and I have some cage guarding behaviors, most likely because I'm afraid of losing my home again. I'm looking for an experienced rabbit caregiver in a home where any children are over the age of 14. Rabbits need a good quality diet including lots of timothy hay, a clean cage without a wire floor (or a wire floor covered by soft towels or rugs), and time outside my cage every day to play, explore, and exercise. If you're wondering if a bunny is the right pet for you, check out the House Rabbit Society's website for helpful information!

Hi, we are Hayward and Harriet!
Location: Madison, WI
adopt a rabbit in Wisconsin Hayward and Harriet
Mini Lop • Adult • Male • Medium
Spayed/Neutered • Prefers a home without: Young Children • Primary Color(s): Black • Coat Length: Short
Harriet and Hayward are a beautiful bonded pair who were found in a box on a reservation and taken to a shelter in Hayward. Because they had some medical issues that the shelter was not able to deal with they were transferred to WHRS.
Their medical issues have been resolved and they are now healthy and waiting for their forever home.
Harriet is a very timid girl. She is having difficulties trusting humans (who can blame her) but she is trying to overcome this with the help of her foster mom.
Hayward (the lop) is much more willing to hang with humans for loving pets which he does enjoy. He is not as timid as Harriet and he can be startled easily but he is also working on this with his foster Mom.
They are both making progress and the perfect home would be a home without children and adult caregivers that would be patient and understanding.
